Since we had to make a nonfiction documentary the idea of filming a Cat was discussed among our group members. The new international students come to the dormitory from the first day they notice a cat living in international student’s dormitory. Out of curiosity most of them ask questions about the cat.

I chose to focus on a social issue because I find this kind of topic to be the most interesting to develop, mainly for the reason that it has so many different dimensions to look at. Also, education is a fundamental step in the shaping of an active population and represents one of the most relevant social issues in China.

I became interested in street food issue right after the arrival in China as it is quite popular phenomenon, definitely more widespread than in Europe. I was willing to learn more about this element of Chinese culture and while reading articles on history and features of it I hit on one of them on Weibo saying about disappearing of vendors from streets of Beijing.

导演 FUTURA COSTAGLIONEAfter spending almost two years in China I noticed that there is a significant difference in treatment between foreign and Chinese students. Moreover, I have a lot of Chinese friends that told me about their conditions and I always feel not comfortable with this all this privileges that we, foreign students, have here in China.
